2023 NUTCRACKER INFORMATION
Students have the opportunity to become part of The White Oak River Dance Company and perform in our annual production of "The Nutcracker." This is a studio tradition that our students enjoy being a
part of and performing for the community. All performances will be held at Swansboro High School.
2022 NUTCRACKER AUDITIONS WILL BE HELD THE WEDNESDAY AFTER OUR SPRING RECITAL @ Swansboro Dance Studio
*all dancers must wear black leotard, pink tights, hair in a bun and proper shoes
*Please arrive 15 mins
early for your dancer to be measured before their audition

4:00 - 4:30
- Rising K - Rising 2nd grade
4:40 - 5:15
- Rising 3rd - Rising 5th grade
5:30 - 6:15
- Clara Auditions
6:30-7:00
- Rising & Current Middle School Pointe Audition (ballet audition also required)
7:00 - 7:30 ALL Middle School Ballet Audition*
*Required for all Middle
Schoolers
7:45-8:30 -
Rising and Current High School Auditions
*For HIGHSCHOOL, if you are auditioning for a pointe role - YOU MUST AUDITION WEARING POINTE
SHOES.

We believe...
We believe that every child has an “inner rhythm” and at Swansboro Dance Studio & Emerald Isle Dance Studio we strive to help each dancer find their own rhythm. We believe that a child should be exposed to a variety of activities and encouraged to pursue those that they truly enjoy. Dance, in a challenging, non-competitive atmosphere gives children, as well as adults, the opportunity to express themselves freely through music and movement. It enhances the ability to pursue individual goals and to work together as a group. It reinforces such skills as listening, counting, coordination, motor skills and musicality. Whether a child chooses to dance for many years or moves on to other interests, tapping that inner rhythm will provide life-long benefits.
