Regular classes run September through May. Students have the opportunity to showcase their talents by performing in the Spring Recital. During the summer

**All classes are based on age as of August 31. **
(Like the school cut-off date, if your child turns 7 in December,
they should enroll in a class for 6yr old.)
Creative Movement: (2yrs. old) exclusively for 2 year olds, this class encourages self-discipline and self-confidence while incorporating
coordination, rhythm, and basic dance steps. Children will work on large motor skills, spatial awareness, and flexibility. Dancers are to wear pink ballet shoes, leotard, and pink tights. (Skirts are
acceptable.) Male dancers wear black pants/shorts, white shirt and black shoes.
Pre-Ballet: (3yrs. old) Dancers begin to learn the basics of a structured ballet/dance class; learning to stand on their place, moving around
the room and basic dance skills. Dancers are to wear leotard, pink tights (only skirts that are attached to the leotard) with their hair tied back. Female dancers will need pink ballet
shoes and male dancers will need black ballet shoes.
Level 1 Ballet/Tap Combination: (suggested age 4) Dancers will be taught a combination of basic ballet and tap skills. Dancers will need pink
ballet shoes and black tap shoes. Dancers are to wear leotard, pink tights (only skirts that are attached to leotard) with their hair tied back. Female dancers need pink ballet shoes & male
dancers need black ballet shoes.
Level 2 Ballet/Tap Combination: (suggested ages 5-6) After completing Level 1, dancers will be taught more challenging ballet and tap
skills. Dancers will continue to progress in spatial awareness, technique and coordination. Dancers will need pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes. Dancers are to wear leotard, pink
tights (only skirts that are attached to leotard) with their hair tied back.
Level 3 Ballet: (suggested ages 7-10) Ballet is the basis for all dance styles. Dancers will be taught basic, classical ballet technique, terminology, grace, poise, and
discipline. Dancers are to wear hair in a bun, pink tights, black leotard, and pink ballet shoes. (Ballet skirts are acceptable.)
Level 3 Jazz/Tap Combination: (suggested ages 7-10) Dancers will learn fundamentals of classical jazz. Learning traveling combinations across the floor and center
combinations. Students will begin putting tap steps together, for harder patterns. Dancers must wear their hair tied back with a leotard, tights, and black jazz shoes and black tap
shoes.
Level 4 Ballet: (suggested ages 9-12) Ballet is the basis for all dance styles. Dancers will continue to build on their classical ballet foundation; expanding vocabulary,
improving technique and learning more difficult skills. Dancers must wear hair in a bun, pink tights, black leotard, and pink ballet shoes. (Ballet skirts are acceptable.)
Level 4 Jazz/Tap Combination: (suggested ages 9-12) Dancers will continue to expand on their classical jazz training; learning more intricate
combinations, improving strength, stamina and flexibility. For tap, dancers will learn syncopation, more difficult rhythms and explore fast-paced combinations. Dancers must wear their
hair tied back with a leotard, tights, and black jazz shoes and black tap shoes.
Acro Jazz: (ages 8 and up) Acro teaches flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, and discipline. Acro is not a gymnastics class. This class is great for students
looking to enhance their flexibility and strength. Dancers are to wear hair tied back and leotard with shorts or pants. (No loose-fitting clothes) A placement class may be required.
Modern: (ages 8 and up) this advanced class focuses on self-expression and specification of movement. Floor work, improvisation, and
inversions are covered throughout the year. Self-exploration and phrase work set this class apart from traditional technique classes.
Hip Hop: (ages 6 and up) in this very popular style of dance, dancers will learn basic street style dance to more popular music. Dancers are
to wear their hair tied back. Dancers may wear any form of dancewear and tennis shoes.
Upper Level: (middle school)
